Jacksonville native LaDonna P. Mixon is an innovator  whose talent is teaching, inspiring and creating holistic beauty wellness and natural textured hair mastery.  She does this with passion as the chief curator of Sankofa Creations Spalon and Wellness Center, a subsidiary of  Sankofa Creations, LLC.  The Spalon is a sacred healing space which specializes in a myriad of therapeutic salon services in an atmosphere of tranquility, professionalism and integrity.

 

LaDonna graduated Valedictorian of Ghent Beauty Academy in Norfolk, VA in 2001. She is an experienced cosmetologist, loctician and natural hair specialist with over 21 years experience working with various entities to expand her expertise in the beauty industry such as Hair Cuttery, Inc., Precious Momentz Salon, Tru Roots Natural Hair Salon, Ademola Mandela and KVeshon Barber and Salon,  In addition, LaDonna has been featured as Hair Director for the Simply Natural Beauty and Wellness Expo (2014-2015, Jacksonville, Orlando and Ft. Lauderdale,  FL tour), Hair Director of The Anew View Hair & Fashion Expo (2015,Jacksonville, FL),Spa Coordinator for Florida Black Expo, Blue Pearl Spa (2015, Jacksonville, FL),  Barber and Beauty Showcase (2015, Jacksonville, FL) 2017 ACHI Hair Stylist of The Year Nominee, 2020 BEST Society Award Winner for Best Salon - Jacksonville. Her natural hair artistry has been featured in campaigns like VWISE, Community Hospice, Natural Hair Magazine and WJXT Channel 4 News.

LaDonna co-founded the non profit organization Living4Today Inspirations, Inc., and is  Founder of The Inner Circle Book Club. She is the co- author of Purpose Pushers:The Joy of Discovering & Walking In Your Life's Purpose presented by Dr. Trenace Richardson. She is the creator of The Owner's Manual Podcast, a place for  sacred pause on the journey of self discovery with positive life perspectives and inspiration.

She also is an experienced motivational speaker, dancer, singer, inspirational writer/author,  host, metaphysical minister and professional life purpose coach. She can be found on epic adventures enjoying life or wrapped up in a good book in her  #zenroom.
