I loooove weddings!! Over the years I’ve had the honor of tending to the crowns of brides and their families on their wedding day! It can definitely be stressful but I’ve learned to create check lists in advance and have thorough conversations and discuss optics and visuals to make sure that the hair vision comes to life with ease and flow.
For this particular wedding held on June 4, 2022, it was on a gorgeous farm in Palatka, FL @everafterfarmsflorida and the bride and groom were soooo beautiful! The Gee’s have a special place in my heart as I’ve been doing the bride’s (Deja) hair since she was in high school!!! Her mom, brother and aunt are also apart of the Sankofa Creations Spalon family too! 🥰
I used Mizani loc lacers a few days before the wedding to create soft wavy curls around the head and then on the morning of the wedding, I added the custom floral hair piece created for the bride from @farmnine and created a partial updo.
I had already retwisted and created an updo with curls for the mother of the brides hair several days before and so all I needed to do was add a beautiful rhinestone hair pin for a wow factor!
This day was absolutely perfect! We danced, laughed, cried happy tears and joyfully tossed lavender to celebrate Deja and Jaylin becoming ONE.
